Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States. Twin Valley South is excited to be a part of this week and look forward to the student body participating too! Red Ribbon week will be observed 10/23-10/27. This year's theme is "Your Future is Key, So Stay Drug Free!"

Tuesday is Hat Day…Hats Off to being Drug and Alcohol Free!

Wednesday will be Twin Day…Stand Together Against Drugs!

Thursday is Neon Day…Our Future is Bright!

And to cap the week off, Friday is Red Out Day…Love Yourself and Stay Drug and Alcohol Free!


Wrist bands will be distributed to the 1st period teachers for students to wear each day. Random names will be announced throughout the week. If you are wearing your bracelet when your name is called you win a prize. Other activities will take place throughout the week including a door decorating contest, signing a banner pledging to be drug and alcohol free, as well as a pie eating contest!

TVS is hosting a financial aid presentation on Thursday, November 2, starting at 5:30pm in the auditorium. Rob Durkle from University of Dayton will present information on loans, grants, scholarships, as well as how financial aid is calculated for families of college-bound students. 
On Tuesday, November 7th, we will be having a social media presentation in the auditorium for grades 6-12. Stephen Smith will present on the consequences of student sexting, cyber-bullying, and the impact on one’s mental health. He will also provide an overview of the technologies that enable as well as reduce these practices.
High School-8:30am-9:20am
Middle School-9:30am-10:20am 
Students graduating in 2018 and beyond are required to take EOC (End of Course) exams in English Language Arts I and II, Algebra, Geometry, Biology, American History, and Government. A minimum of 18 points must be earned along with other criteria for the student to meet graduation requirements. (EX: Min. of 4 pts in Eng Lang Arts I and II, Min. of 4 pts in Alg and Geometry, and Min. of 6 pts in Biology, American History, and Government). Please click on the link to learn more about Ohio's new graduation requirements in regards to end of course exams. Other pathways are also available and listed on the ODE website.
Students are encouraged to take the ACT and/or the SAT. Most colleges require one of these tests as part of their application process. Below are links for each test as well as test dates.
The FAFSA is available October 1st of this year. Click on the resource link for advice on filling out the FAFSA.
Senior Information
If you would like to receive text messages regarding senior news and information, complete the following:
1. Text 81010 and in the message bar type @tvsseniors
2. You will receive a message in which you need to reply with your first and last name.

You are now signed up to receive news specifically for seniors.
Students wanting to request transcripts can do so by filling out a transcript request form online, under downloads, or hanging in the basket on Mrs. Cottingim's door. Please be sure to fill out the exact mailing address of where you want the transcript sent.
CCP Students
Spring 2018 registration begins October 30th! 
CCP 2017-18 Guidelines:
1. Complete Letter of Intent form and Parent Authorization form-due 4/1/17
2. Apply to Sinclair online-click on CCP application
3. Once you are accepted register to take the AccuPlace test, if needed
    *New CCP students will need to take the Accu Placer test
    *Current CCP students do not need to retake the test 
4. Pay attention to registration dates
5.  Mrs. Cottingim will set up a time before school starts to rework your TVS schedule
6. Ask questions!!! 
CCP students are encouraged to sign up for text alerts. Directions:
