Twin Valley South students participated in National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Nov 12th through the 16th. Throughout the week students were able to partake in multiple activities. These activities included a class coloring contest for grades K-2nd, a poster contest for grades 3rd-5th, classroom presentations conducted by Susan Bowman and Allie Shafer, educational videos, statistics over morning announcements, essay contest, and promotion of One Night Without A Home. Conner Napier and Savannah Junkins submitted powerful essays to enter into the writing contest. Savannah was a chosen winner by the HIT Foundation, and read her piece at their annual Gala. In addition, TVS FCCLA students helped to serve the dinner at the Gala and were praised on their excellent service. This is the second year Twin Valley South students have participated in this event.
